TOTS TRAVEL RENTALS FAQ

 

We have listed several of our frequently asked questions below. Our Terms and Conditions will answer general questions of the process and our policies. We request you read this in it's entirety and will require that you approve it before we confirm reservations. Why Rent from Tots on-the-Go?

  • * Don't have the room in your car for a stroller, pack N play and all the other gear that would make your families stay more comfortable? Let us send the equipment to you with a return receipt for you to send it back to us upon your departure.Read more on shipping to destination policies here. You can also rent from one of our several rental locations and we will deliver, set-up and pick-up. Read more under our locations page.
  • * Travel more comfortably with your family with compact and quality equipment that you wouldn't otherwise use on a routine basis.
  • * Tots on-the-go Rentals knows our baby equipment. We have been selling this specialty equipment for years through Tots on the Go, LLC and we know what works well for our customers that travel.

 

How do you maintain your equipment?

  • * All our products are purchased new, replaced often and kept in like-new condition.
  • * Our car seats are required to go through a checklist inspection carefully after every use and are replaced often. We will only rent the highest quality car seats as well to ensure the protection of your child.
  • * Each item is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after each use according to the standards of the Virginia Dept of Health.
  • * We monitor recalls frequently and all our products are fully registered with makers so we will be notified directly of any recalls.
  • * We ask that you also take care of our equipment during use.
  • * Please read our terms and conditions section for damaged equipment.

 

How do I place an order?

We ask that you place your order at least 7-10 days prior to your arrival at your destination. Reservations can be made via online, phone or e-mail. If placing an onlone order you will NOT be required to provide us your credit card upon online reservation. A customer service rep for your destination will contact you within 24 hours to finalize your order. Please do not mail reservation requests.  Reservations will not be guaranteed until you have spoken with a sales representative and provided them a credit card to secure your order. Do you ship rental equipment outside of the U.S.?

For the protection of our equipment we do not ship our equipment.  Our equipment is available for those areas listed at our delivery locations only.

What are the delivery charges?

We do now offer several areas in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Utah where we will deliver, set up and pick up your order. Please see the  Tots on-the-Go Delivery Area map for pricing.

 

 

What is the cancellation policy?

Full cancellations MUST be made prior to 48 hours of delivery date agreed upon in signed agreement. Orders cancelled inside of 48 hours will incur a charge equal to $40 OR 50% of your order, whichever is greater. Please read our Rental Terms & Conditions for more detail on delivery charges.

 

 What happens if there is inclement weather?

In cases of inclement weather, it is our priority to serve you, however we can not put our delivery personnel at risk. We will do our best to arrange delivery and pickup around any inclement weather, therefore we ask that you provide us at least two phone numbers to get in touch with you to reschedule a delivery time. The decision to deliver or not due to weather is determined by our Tots on-the-go Rental consultants and not the client. If your travel plans are changed due to weather, we require 48 hours to reschedule a delivery or cancel. If you are renting our equipment and decide to cut your travel plans short we require a 24 hour notice to schedule an early pick-up. There will NOT be a refund for the days that the equipment was not used. If equipment is left unattended for any reason you will be charged $100.

 Is there a minimum rental requirement?

There may be minimums, depending on those locations that are further from our primary market. The consultant for the location you are inquiring will let you know if there are.  For the most part though, we do not require minimums. We want you to enjoy your vacation and even the smallest item can make your trip so much more relaxing. Enjoy the products and relax!

 

Do you offer discounts for multiples of the same item or for long-term rentals?

Yes! We offer 10% off the second item with code "Twins".

 

What are your hours of operation?

You may complete the order online any time at www.totsonthego.com/rentals. You can reach a Tots on-the-go Rentals representative Monday through Sunday from 8:00 am until 7:00 pm EST. Please reserve early during the holidays to ensure your order reservation.

 

 Do you rent or install car seats?

Tots on-the-Go does now rent 4 different types of car seats, infant car seats, convertible car seats, high back booster and no back booster. We ask you provide us the child's weight, height and age so we can appropriately decide the best car seat for your child based on the laws specific to the area you are renting.

We DO NOT install car seats for liability reasons. We provide the car seat installation manual with every rental. If you feel more comfortable having a trained professional install your seat, we do have a certified car seat technician we work with that we highly recommend and we will be happy to arrange to have the tech install it before you actually need to use the car seat free of charge.

 

Will I receive the exact item shown?

In most cases. Tots on-the-Go carries only top quality brands and we promise to rent to you the items shown or one of equal or great quality. If you have a special request for a product that you have been interesting in purchasing and you want to test it out on vacation, please let us know.
